STEM Programme & Chemical Engineering with Monash University 2023

On July 6, 2023, one big programme was held at SMK Cochrane in collaboration with Monash University. The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of STEM and chemical engineering among Form 2 and Form 3 students. This event also aims to break misconceptions about chemical engineering by delivering a more accurate representation of them. The president of the Monash IChemE Student Chapter, who was also an alumna of SMK Cochrane, Miss Lee Shuet Yee, briefed the students about the flow of the activities during this event. Some of the activities are chemical car building, chemical car testing, and an infographic competition. This collaborative event has been a great success. Most of the students had shown positive responses throughout their participation.
